VIRB EDIT won't install with Windows 10, needs WMP??

I've recently upgraded to Windows 10, from Windows 7. I have the version "Windows 10 Pro N".

Initially VIRB EDIT would not run, so I uninstalled it and downloaded the VIRBEdit_360.exe file. Now I can't get it to install, I get the error message "Windows Media Player v11 or higher is a required upgrade for you to use this Garmin Product" etc. When I click OK, it takes me to a web pape that says WMP v12 should be installed by default, but in other places I understand WMP is no longer a part of Windows 10. I don't see any option to specifically install WMP.

I read elsewhere that a potential fix was to install the Media Features Pack, which I have done for both 32 bit and 64 bit version (I'm running 64 bit), but still I get the same message. I read on another thread that Garmin do not know why this happens, but I am left with no fix or work round and I can't get VIRB Edit to install at all. Which means I can't see my recent videos.

Is there any update for this issue, or even fix? The error message that I need WMP seems crazy if its no longer a part of Windows 10.

Google is your friend, eventually! Even though the advice is to install the Windows Media Feature Pack, I found that I did not actually have Windows Media Player installed. The folders under Program Files were empty, and if I tried to run "wmplayer.exe", file not found. Eventually I found a thread that said I need to install KB3099229 found here

This is the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10, I had previously installed it under Windows 7 but it seems the upgrade to Windows 10 stripped it out. Thank you Microsoft!

The N version of Windows 10 does not have Windows Media Player. All non N versions have Windows Media Player.

This is true, since I upgraded from windows version 7 N. However what got me is that I had installed WMP on Windows 7 then it somehow got stripped out when upgrading to windows 10 and it was extremely hard to find the WMP download.
