virb Xe and bike speed sensor

I have connected a bike speed sensor to my Virb Xe camera, when i make a movie in Virbedit and use a overlay with distance does th data come from the speed sensor or from gps position then?
the data from speed sensor should be more accurate!? in G-metrix page(in virbedit) theres a drop list on each data type but i can only choose VirbXE.... should the speed sensor also be there?

i use my movies to measure in my work and need it to be as accurate tkats is possible....

As of 3.6 we prefer the speed sensor data.

If you want the speed based on GPS position use 'Calculated 2D Speed' instead of 'Recorded Speed'. You can filter your gauges by the different speed types, then drag in the gauge you want.
  • its distance im intressed in!! distance should be more exactly with the speed sensor instead of GPS distance!?

We could of course calculate it from time, but depending on the sampling rate and how much your speed fluctuates this might not be very accurate.

We can see if that's something we could add. Currently, this is not supported. I'm sorry.
  • ok!

i think i should be possible to inplement! and a think there are many thats intressed in this. the tolerence should be mmuch better with GPS and speedsensor togehter measure distance......
i think a lot of companys in this kind of busines are looking fpr a solution to replace "measure wheel" to measure shaft distance and so on........ and i think a Virb can be the solution but the tolerance are not good anough today...
