You can download it at http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=6591, the in-application update will go live shortly as well.

This is a fairly small update. The biggest change is that you can now backup and restore your edited videos, templates and G-Metrix. (This doesn't backup and restore the video clips and photos themselves.)

  • Added functionality to migrate data from one machine to another.
  • Added feedback when rotating G-Metrix by 180 degrees.
  • Fixed an issue with thumbnail generation.
  • Fixed an issue with the circuit track gauge where the position marker could get off track.
  • Fixed an issue when trying to export a 1440p video using the Media Foundation Encoder on Windows 7.
  • Bug fixes.
  • Which decoder and encoder are you using? I've found the audio quality using FFMpeg for both to be very poor (obviously worse than previous versions). I haven't tried the Media Foundation options on this version yet. If I get a chance over the weekend I'll create two small videos, one using each to show the problem.

    Cheers,
    Brett

    1. Error Exporting to 1% when entering soundtrack

I have tried all available and decoding methods is impossible.

    How can this be fixed?

slows down PC during facebook rendering

    Windows 7
    SP1
    Core i5 m520 2.40ghz
    4.00GB Ram
    64 bit

Has anybody noticed when trying to upload HD video from Garmin Edit that was captured with VIRB X or XE to facebook, the process maxes your cpu and takes over 40 minutes on a 10mb internet connection?

Virbexport and Virbedit processes are taking over all resources and it's bee moving incredibly slow.
Is my laptop too slow for this?

    Hello FALAGAR

I never had any problems with the older versions but when I recently updated to Version 3.5.0 (3/8/2016) I noticed that all of the videos processed by this version (include those without any g metrix) produces a droning background noise during playback.

Hope you can help me on this. Regards.

I just uploaded my first video using the updated version and am having the same problem. It doesn't seem to be a problem playing it inside the virb edit program, but after uploading it to youtube or facebook, it becomes a problem.

    Sound Problem Since Update

I just uploaded my first video using the updated version and am having the same problem. It doesn't seem to be a problem playing it inside the virb edit program, but after uploading it to youtube or facebook, it becomes a problem.

It's the same for me! Have tried working from old and new clips that I've shot, and on two machines (one running Windows 8, and the other Windows 10). The results are the same: sound quality is really bad, and people sound like robots! I called Garmin support yesterday and they said there would be a software update coming out yesterday - so far nothing.
