I too am having YouTube issues.

I have tried 1820P 60 & 30 fps also 720p 30 fps

I have tried exporting from Virb Edit to disk then uploading to YouTube
I tried Sharing from Virb Edit to YouTube
I tried exporting to disk then using Adobe Premier Elements 11 with optimised settings to create a High Bitrate version for YouTube

All about as bad as each other.

Unfortunately I am not sure there is a good solution.

Thanks I watched that already and have watched / read assorted wisdom

Whilst on one hand I get the principle how come there are some amazing sharp action videos on YouTube when I can't get anywhere close to that quality. Is there some "Paid for" option to improve quality ?....I think I'll google that :-)

May just set up the streaming on my own NAS !

You could try Vimeo? I've heard that that doesn't compress videos as much, so the quality should be better.

I've started encoding at 4K, but I'm not sure yet if the quality is any better on YouTube (see here for an example). My internet connection isn't good enough to playback 4K without lots of buffering so it's hard for me to get a decent comparison. Unfortunately Elements 11 won't let you encode at 4K though.

Thanks Brettkp. Funnily enough I am trying Vimeo now, also Veoh. I gave up on Photobucket it wasn't loading "small" files. Flickr doesn't take large enough files.

I am seriously thinking about hosting them myself and doing my own streaming service !.

Yours is looking quite blocky to me too

Vimeo definitely looks better I'd say, but there are still plenty of artifacts.

I noticed it's 720p, is that the source resolution? Wonder if it'd look better in 1080p.

Hi FALGAR. As I wasn't getting anywhere on YouTube with 1080P 60fps & 30fps I tried 720P 30 fps to see if that helped. Didn't seem to !. I'll see if I can lload a 1080P into Vimeo (but as a free user at the moment it limits me on how much I can upload ...without paying :-) )

Here is a short clip shot at 1080P 60fps and exported at those settings using "Target Quality Max". Looks like MAX encodes at 21MB/s

I will try on other "Target" settings. My laptop is CPU constrained rather than memory

I must admit this looks much better .... but took a long time to render a 1 minute clip !. Lenovo U3 Ultrabook i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40GHz . 8Gb RAM

Cant upload to Vimeo as I have run out of space today !
