Can someone please explain to me how a huge company like Garmin can't get hardware acceleration on VIRB Edit?
One of the main selling points of the VIRB is how the battery last way longer than the competition, meaning you can record more, which equates to larger file sizes. Even with a top spec i7 CPU it takes a long time to process the files, using the GPU would greatly reduce this time and lighten the burden on your system.
I can't believe open source community built software can enable something like Intel Quick Sync but Garmin can't.
I know there probably has to be a valid reason.
