Virb Edit Newbie - issues

Hi all,

1. Is there a manual where I can learn to use Virb Edit properly?
2. When making a long video, how can I stitch/join several 15:00 files?
3. I can get G-metrix data in, and a gauge, but only runs for the first 15:00 segment, then restarts at 15:00 and 30:00, repeats the values. See question 2 - how do I get the whole thing to 'flow'?
4. Cant find a decent overlay that shows HR, power, speed and cadence in one nice set up - apart from one basic example which just lists the data, doent show any nice 'bars' or interesting to look at.

Thanks,
  • Hi GRANTWEBSTER,

    To answer your questions:
    1) There is a thread here that helps, but it's a bit of trial and error.
    2) Just drag and drop all the clips you want to stitch together into the timeline and it'll export into one file.
    3) By doing #2 this should take care of itself
    4) I can't help with that other than advise that you can create your own gauges (refer to this thread).

    Hope that helps,
    Brett

For #4, I just want to make sure you are aware that you can mix and match any gauges. You are not confined to the templates we deliver.

Go to Overlays / Gauges and then drag-and-drop any gauges you like onto the video. You can move them and delete them, as well as change the color (under appearances).

Once you created a template you like, you can also save it so you can easily apply to other videos.

For #3, if the videos are misaligned to the G-Metrix, try 'G-Metrix Sync' in the G-Metrix tab. Normally this should not be necessary, but the camera or GPS might have been in a bad state and didn't sync properly.
