Edit individual clips

I've been practicing with timelapses lately. Am I missing something or the only way of editing the default 3 second image interval is doing so one image at a time?

Overall, I miss the ability of more granular control over individual clips with SHIFT, CTRL or CMD + click. I find videos more appealing if there's a variety of overlays, similar to Garmin's own promo videos. In order to get that result I have to make one video for each take with the relevant overlay, then use them as clips for the final project.

I practiced the above method in this video. It not only took a lot of time, resulted in a ridiculous amount of files and I had to use three different apps to get the result I wanted.
- VIRB Edit: Make one video for each take with specific overlays. Export
- GoPro Studio: Import clips, crop and edit clips into one video. Adjust color, crop, audio, unify aspect ratio. Export
- RaceRender: Picture in Picture. Export
  • Thanks for the detailed feedback.
Nice video! I'm seeing almost the last full minute as a black screen. Is that intentional?

I'm not sure I understand. When imported, a timelapse from a VIRB camera should already be a video, not an image sequence. In that case, the interval can be set on the camera ahead of time, or (more or less) by adjusting the clip speed in VIRB Edit.

It sounds like you've got a sequence of images, though. In that case, you're not missing anything: there isn't currently a way to adjust multiple image durations at once. It's been on our list for awhile and just hasn't quite made the the final cut yet. I'll see if we might be able to bump it up.

You're talking about a lot of stuff we're really excited about adding. It's a big job, but stay tuned!

Sorry for the terminology mixup, but it seems you understood me correctly. What I'd like to do is adjust the duration of multiple pictures in a timelapse video.

I'm glad that your were already considering some of my points and I look forward to those and whatever cool new features you're working on!

PS: Thanks for the heads up about the black screen. I totally missed it. I'm pretty sure it was related to cropping the audio track.
