Date gauge truncated

I have noticed the the date gauge is truncated in the OS X version of VIRB edit as you can see in this screenshot

I had to clone & edit the gauge to get it aligned correctly
  • Unfortunately, that image does not load for me. e-mailing the image as an attachment to [email protected] (please mention this forum thread) may work better. Info on the lang/settings/time may be enough for us to track down the issue, though.
  • Sorry

    The image accidentally got deleted

    You can see it here

I have placed the gauge on the video but you can also see it in the preview of the gauge in the "small" column

This is exactly the same on 3 separate Macs (an iMac, a Mac Mini and a Macbook Air) all running Yosemite 10.10.2 and VIRB Edit 2.9.1
  • That looks like something we can fix by updating that gauge, but in the meantime you could address it a couple of ways:

    1) You could go to System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced... > Dates and changing the settings for "Short:" to display only two digits of the year rather than all of them.
    2) If you're using the non-App-Store version of VIRB Edit, you could also right click on the gauge's preview and then "Clone and Edit Gauge" to have a go at fixing it yourself. I believe that scooting the field all the way to the left and making it left-aligned would be the way to go.

We will look into fixing this gauge so that its text expands in the correct direction when it gets longer. Thanks for reporting this!
