Did Garmin delete the thread about sensor info not displaying in video?

Hi

This morning (UK time) I posted in an existing thread about Garmin Virb Edit version 2.60 not displaying sensor info as an overlay in the video even though this information is available. The sensor info is displayed when the video is viewed as a preview from the video gallery but if you go to 'Create Video' the overlay does not display the data.

I came home this afternoon to check if there is any updates to this thread as I have a lot of video from my recent cycling holiday that I'm keen to process but can't get the sensor info displayed.

This thread appears to have vanished! I had even uploaded 2 screenshots to illustrate the problem.

I have created this thread to get a clarification from Garmin about whether this is a known bug in Virb Edit v2.6.0 and if they deleted the earlier thread?

I have checked my posting history and the relevant posts have vanished.

I have also posted a thread over on bikeradar to try and find out if any users over there have had similar issues.

Hello Curium,

Just guessing here.
It could be that the thread you are missing was deleted by Garmin because it got filled with spam from those pesky Arabs??

looks like it yes...

However, here is a workaround which works for me: set your VIRB to only save GPS data when recording. Sensor info then show in Create Video mode.

I probably did that inadvertently while trying to clean the forum of more than 500 spam posts. What was the subject?
