Edit Select All - Delete All - Feature Request

Hi,

This is more of a feature request. On my Mac, it seems there's no way to delete multiple clips and deleting them one at a time is a real pain in the ass because you have to right click on the clip (and half the time it opens up and starts playing instead of giving you the right click menu options), then you choose delete, then you have to move the mouse up to a box and click - yeh - i really want to delete this clip, then have to repeat the whole process to delete the next clip. Very tedious.

Another option that might be quicker to implement would be to let us delete all the files we want in the file system, then when VIRB edit starts up, recognize there are missing files and remove them automatically from everywhere they were. Unfortunately, if you remove them from the file system, you still have to delete them one-by-one from within VIRB edit. Horrible.

Also, you can't highlight multiple clips and drag them to the timeline in a single drag.

Those two things (delete multiple, drag multiple into your video timeline) would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Brad

Right click on one of the date folders in clip library and use the "Delete Unused" option in the context menu. I think that'll get you most of the functionality you want, deletion-wise.

There's no selection whatsoever in the clip library, so dragging in multiple things at once may not happen, although I understand the appeal. If you use the clip library as the place to preview your clips and decide which you want to add, there's an "Add to Video" button in the upper right corner of that preview player. That may be a smooth enough workflow for your needs.
  • Sweet! I didn't know that. So - if I make a movie, then delete it after rendering it, hopefully I can use this to remove all the files in one shot! Thanks!
