VIRB Will not connect

Hi All

I purchased a VIRB elite yesterday (20-05-2014) and have a few issues:-

1) When charging the green light comes on changes to orange and then goes off leaving a blank screen.
2) My pc cannot see the device. Have downloaded the latest USB drivers
3) Garmin express cannot see the device.
4) Shot a 1min test video, but VIRB edit can not see the device to edit the video.

Very disappointed with this unit, the only reason I bought it is because I have an edge 800 and I wanted to use the 800 as a remote. Thinking of taking it bak to Garmin and buying another make.

Can anyone help me solve these problems please.

Your PC can't see the VIRB as it probably has turned itself off.
First try to connect your camera directly to a USB port (if it isn't already).
Try some other USB ports, see if that helps.
I know of VIRB's that are very critical to USB ports and don't want to go into storidge mode whatever computer you try.
I had one that would either go off (just like you described) or it would see the computer as an external powersource (in that case you also can't get to your video's).
I had it replaced by anothe one.

Wiggle the cable as you push it into the camera - the usb connection is very snug and hard to connect initially.

Having all of these problems myself. This is absolutely infuriating how poorly this product is performing.

Rediculous 2nd new virb will not connect to express, edit, or web updater, or fenix 2 for remote control wtf garmin??????????????????????????????

the Virb does not work it wont connect to anything this is second one with 20 hours spent on trying to fix
