VIRB Edit 2.40 Can't Export to Youtube (Invalid Credentials)

Now using VIRB Edit v2.40 (Mac) and can no longer upload to YouTube (this used to work).

Uploading a 1080p 2min video (few hundred meg), takes a couple of hours normally because I have a slow upload on my broadband (500k).

Now after about an hour or so I get the error "YouTube Upload Failed, The operation couldn't be complete. (Invalid Credentials)".

I know the credentials are valid as i have tried many times and it accepts my email / password login to YouTube.

When I look at YouTube, I see the failures and YouTube reports them as "Failed (upload aborted)".

As a workaround ... Upload of the exported video works directly from YouTube website upload.

Has VIRB Edit 2.40 got a timeout and aborting slow uploads to YouTube (I saw from Change Control there were changes in this area)?

This error is being handed to us by Google's upload framework. We upgraded that framework in VIRB Edit 2.4, and while that improved things it was no a cure-all.

We've been exploring what we can do to our exported video files to make youtube uploads work more smoothly, and have a good few ideas to further improve the situation. Unfortunately those ideas came a bit late for 2.4.
