Brand new Virb.
Virb about states it is on Software version 3.2
Virb Edit 2.3 for MAC
MAC OS Lion 10.7.5

The video will export to my desktop. However it does not play from the desktop. When I try to play it I get an error, "The document "Wren.mp4" could not be opened. The movie's file form isn't recognized.

When I try to upload to Youtube from Virb Edit the system hangs before step 2 starts or I get error %PH%. I tried trimming the first seconds of the video and that still did not resolve the issue.

So I can only watch the videos on Virb Edit and can not share then with anyone.

Do you know how I can fix this?

I believe there's an error that caused that %ph% error in youtube uploads in 10.7.5. That should be fixed in a (hopefully forthcoming) VIRB Edit release.

What application is loading to try and open the MP4 file? The simplest issue would just be that your system's file association for .mp4 files is wrong. In our testing, Quicktime works fine for playing back videos exported by VIRB Edit.

How big is the exported file? You can just select it and Get Info to figure that out, as well as the "Open with:" app.

Can you open the MP4s that are on your VIRB when you plug the device into your computer in the first place? The VIRB should mount as a mass storage drive when you first connect it. Recording a new video before connecting your device, locating it and attempting to open it the same way you open exported videos would be a good test to figure out if it's VIRB Edit or your system that's having problems with these movie files.

Quick Time Player 10.1 does not play the file back. I get the same error.

    File size is 58.8MB.

Good trouble shooting. I can open the videos with Quick Time Player after they have be uploaded from the Virb. It is after Virb Edit that I have the issue. Here is what worked. Took videos, uploaded to computer, opened with Quick Time Player.

    Thanks for the reply.

The issue remains. From Virb Edit I can't share the videos through the Youtube upload or through the Export option.
