I bought this VIRB camera primarily to use on my racing boat (think something like this video), and the biggest selling point was the built-in telemetry and simple video overlays. The only problem is that in sailing, we measure speed in knots, not MPH or KPH. Being that to make a knot meter all you do is take the MPH gauge and multiply the value by 0.869, it seems like it'd be pretty trivially easy to add this. Or if there were a way to make custom gauges ourselves, I'd do that too, but as it stands, it doesn't seem like either of these things are possible. Could this be coming? It's an easy addition and there are lots of people on boats/sailboards/kiteboards/airplanes who'd love to be able to measure speed in knots.
