Virb Edit will not play videos

Hi I've just purchased the Virb and downloaded Virb edit and updated to latest version of software in both.

When I plug the Virb in Edit recognises the device and imports videos but when I try to play them it it just goes to a black screen with 'the was an error playing this video' sign. I've checked the videos in Windows Movie Maker and they play perfectly well in there.

Any Ideas?

Have you try to connect your Virb on your Mac and when the Virb mount as a volume then copy / paste your movies files from Virb to your Mac?
Check this one and tell us if the .mp4 files are play correctly with quicktime.

In addition if the files are play correctly with Quicktime then open Virb Edit and manually import the movie and check if the play correctly with in Virb Edit.

In case that .mp4 does not play with quicktime and or Virb Edit (But you can play it with a player like VLC) then maybe you need to download Perian http://perian.org even if the development stoped it works nicely with the latest version of MacOS Mavericks.

Sorry I'm not on a Mac - the seems no option for windows virb - or I have missed it! The files import into Virb Edit fine but do not play - the error message appears.
