Nicely done--it will be a day or two before I get to really play with it, but I really appreciate the added feature to select the data I want and place it where I want it.
Works for me, and has worked since the beginning. What else do you have on your Mac that may be causing the crashing? Have you tried a Safe Boot and then tried VIRB Edit?
Every couple of weeks a new release as they are trying to fix the issues they have with the all new AND FREE program. Not much testing can be done in those weeks as (almost) everyone wants fixes and new features been released even faster. You might argue that they have released their first public release too early. If they had waited until it was perfect, meanwhile no one would be able to use it, have fun editing and adding overlays. Also, if it could be done, building every single configuration of MAC and PC would be an enormous task, let alone the different programs combinations. So when you make a program problems, not may, but will occur. You can help the developers, and by doing so yourself, by exactly descibing what kind of hardware you have and what steps you take until the program crashed. Some developers are very active on this forum and will pass it on to the people that can do something about your problem.
Well said. I'd much rather be helping to perfect the program by testing it on my systems, than sitting around waiting for the program to be perfect for all possible configurations of computer systems, and then released to the public.
It's quite possible that the program will never be perfect and problem free in all configurations.
We switched our underlying video tech for the editing view. Unfortunately, Apple has implemented this framework very differently on different versions of OSX. Please note your OS version in any bug reports on these forums.
We've received reports of failed exports, which we naturally are working to fix. I've seen no error reports indicating crashes mid-export, though. If the error reporting dialog pops up post-export, it's probably just us trying to collect information about why your export failed, not a sign that the program has crashed. If you are experiencing a crash, then that's something we're not aware of. Please report it in detail via the error reporter or these forums.
BOBWAGNERBRISBANE: Any activity FIT files should import without issues. To my knowledge the only reason we'd currently fail to read in FIT files is that they're course data or that they have no record GPS log data in them in the first place. If you have an activity FIT file that's failing for you, please send it to and we'll have a look.
