I hope Garmin doesn't mind me posting this here but I thought people interested in the VIRB as much as we are would like to read it.
This showed up in Lucy's Log Book, a Garmin Blog entry.
"...I am excited to offer a sneak peek at Garmin Pilot and how our aviation application will soon integrate with VIRB to help ensure you gather the footage you want. In the coming weeks version 6.0 for iOS will have several feature enhancements and include VIRB integration."
