Map overlay is splitter up

Yeah I get the same thing. It really makes the map overlay redundant as it doesn't look meaningful.
It would be good to have an option to include the full map even if not all the video footage is relevant to the map.

I assume you have Virb (Regular) and not Virb Elite, if so you need to upload the full .fit file on each separate video file and manual for each clip make the map calibration.
It is an easy task but more time consuming compare to Virb Elite in which it is recording separate .fit files for each clip.

I'm using Virb (Regular) and I do the same think, since during a long 5 hours ride I'm recording lots of separate clips but I have one .fit files coming from my Edge 810 which includes the full 5 hours riding.

of course on each clip the map will be showing only the clip segment and not the map of the full ride

As you could see in the clip of post #3, it can be done.
If your .fit or .gpx is 5 hours, you first you need to create a 5 hour video.
In order to make this 5 hour video you have to create dummy video's that fill the spaces between the clips.
When you have the video, attach the .fit/gpx to the file and export it again, this time with overlay.
After that import the 5 hour video, split and trim it, than export it without overlay.
