Evening all!
First outing with my Virb Elite on Sunday, got some great video and I've figured out Edit... But...
One thing I can't find any info on is the standby mode. I was hoping that while I was not recording video I could record the gps data of the ride, and I was hoping for an extended battery life. However I was only videoing chunks of my 3 hour ride on Sunday, and my battery died at 2hrs 40 mins.
As a test I sat the virb next to me while being a couch potatoe, and it recorded data for 1 hr 9 and shut down, but the battery only dropped by 18%.
I also noticed today a message along the lines of 'press any button to exit standby'
So my questions;
1) should I expect longer than 3 hrs when recording just gps data in standby mode?
2) why did the virb shut down when in standby? Power saving as it wasn't moving?
3) why was I asked to press a button to exit standby?
4) can I have the virb shut down with the slider rather than return to standby?
