Pairing GSC-10

Anyone managed to pair a GSC-10 speed/cadence sensor with a VIRB? I can get the HR to pair OK but the cadence refuses to connect. Tried forgetting and trying again, tried two GSC-10s but no joy. They are both connecting to my Edge just fine.

PS Can we have a Virb hardware forum please :)

Were you able to get the two paired together? I am having the same issue and have tried a bunch of different methods to get the two to pair and they will not. I could be wrong but I think the issue is that the GSC-10 is speed and cadence sensor, but if you look at the virb it is looking for just a cadence sensor. Again, I could be completely wrong.

I will try and give them a call and see what they have to say. I would have thought since the two were Garmin they would have worked together. But from the couple of folks out there that have the GSC-10 it seems like they will not pair.

EDIT - I just called Garmin up and this is a known issue and is being worked on by their engineering team. They expect a software release to fix this issue. There is not a ETA. So it sounds like, hang in there for a little while longer and it will be resolved.

I've got an ongoing support ticket about this. Their only suggestion so far has been a trusty old master reset (on a brand new device!). Needless to say no joy there. I've also raised the issue of the missing iPhone app but they been ducking that so far.
I'm confident Garmin will get this stuff fixed eventually but it's frustrating - Ant+ support was a big factor in choosing a Virb Elite over a GoPro

Same issue here- HR works fine but no joy from the GSC 10 which works fine with my 910xt.

I'm a little concerned looking at the dates of the above posts and I'm amazed this isn't a quick fix- surely the whole point of ANT+ is that everything works to a set standard?!

Figures crossed for a quick fix, but even some communication on progress would be appreciated!

EDIT: a little google found the following http://www.thisisant.com/developer/ant-plus/device-profiles#523_tab so looks like the virb can't handle the speed and cadence combined in a single channel?!

Yep 3.0 fixes it and also looks to take speed from the GSC10 over GPS which is a bonus!

I noticed it gets the speed from the GSC10 too, which is good. But I wonder how it knows the wheel size? I guess it uses some sort of auto calibration, no option to set it manually though.
