Is Garmin Virb Edit dead?

I was excied to buy a Gopro and wanted to create some nice clips. But unfortunately to find I coundnot use Garmin Virb Edit on my laptop (Macos Pro 2015, OS 10.15.7 Catalina).

I tried so many time but always got message: there was an error playing this video. I found this happened to many people in the past few years.

The latest version was updated more than 2 years ago (Dec 2018).

Does Garmin give up Virb Edit?

If not, can you please update it?

Well After I reinstalled many times, including trying older version. It works now. I don't know why. But still I hope Garmin can spend more to develope the software.
