  • Certainly not with the original OS. You need to be running an OS currently supported by Apple (10.10 - 10.12) for VIRB Edit to work. You'll have to find out whether or not a machine that old can run 10.10 or 10.11, and you'll have to find a source for the older OS's (all recent OS X/macOS have been download only through the App Store, and Apple usually only supplies the latest). In your favor, Apple has been very good about supporting older hardware with its new OS's as they come out, so it may be possible, but first you have to find out whether you can upgrade the OS.
  • Agreed with above

    According http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.4-white-13-polycarbonate-unibody-mid-2010-specs.html

So you should be able to run Sierra on your 2010 MacBook

What you gave us seems to be the basic characteristics of the MacBook on a catalog. You should check "About this Mac" in the Apple menu in order to know exactly how much RAM you have. Obviously the more the better otherwise the video editing can be painful, specially on a "old" computer ;)

Not much is posted on the Mac side for system requirements.
System Requirements: Mac OS X running OS 10.10 or higher. Screen Resolution: 1280 x 720

If we look at the PC system requirements you'll get a better idea of the performance you'll be getting with that old mac.
    Processor: 1.5 GHz dual-core
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics card: Intel HD 4000 or better (when plugged into external power), nVidia GeForce GT 530 or better, AMD Radeon 6570 or better. DirectX 10+ recommended.
Graphics memory: 1 GB DDR3 RAM
    Screen Resolution: 1280 x 720

"If" that Macbok works it will probably not perform well IMO. Look, PC requires 1 GB DDR RAM for the Video Card and 4GB of RAM, the Macbook only has 256MB of Video Card RAM and 2GB of RAM. Remember, VIRB Edit supports 4k videos and 4k is a performance hog.
