Hi,

Exporting a clip introduces considerable audio static in the resulting file. I'm using VIRB Edit 4.1.1 on Mac. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

Ryan
  • i'm having the same problem. i'm using video from a gopro session 4 though, which is not technically supported, but it used to work fine in 3.6.x

are you using virb video files or other?

Problem should be resolved in the next maintenance release (early January). I was able to reproduce the issue with several videos though and the problem appears to be resolved. If anyone wants to upload there original video to iCloud, dropbox, or some sharing service, then I'll verify the fix works for them.

Audio Static Problem still occurring in VIRB Edit 5.1.0 exported video

Hi, I'm a new owner of a VIRB Ultra 30, and I am experiencing this same issue of significant audio static in exported videos from VIRB Edit. The static is not in the original video before importing into VIRB Edit, adding G-matrix overlays and exporting. I'm using VIRB Edit 5.1.0 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5.

I believe I have the latest version of VIRB Edit - is this still a known issue and is there a timeframe for a target fix? Are there any known workarounds? The exported videos are not very usable as is - the static is very prevalent.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Wurth... this problem is back again in 5.1.0 (it was fine in 4.2.3)

Please note that I downgraded VIRB Edit from 5.1.0 to 4.2.3 and exported the same clip. I can confirm that the static is NOT there with the 4.2.3 export, but that it IS there with the 5.1.0 export.

Looks like the fix was left out of the 5.1.0 build.

I wasn't aware of this issue returning. I'll look at it this week and let you know.
