I've done a bit of searching of the forums, and have seen similar-ish problems to the one I am experiencing but haven't been able to find a solution, so here goes.
When adding a .gpx file (from Etrex 30) in VIRB, it recognises the time in the video (taken using a GoPro) with no problems at all, and displays the time I expect to see. However, the time and position are out of sync by as much as 4-5 hours. So far the error is always an integer number of hours, which is sort of helpful but I'd like to work out where the error is coming from.
I've converted the .gpx to text to check on the data, and in there the time/position data is as I expected, but as soon as I import it to VIRB Edit they get out of sync.
I've considered time zones, but I had everything set to UTC when I made the video and set up the GPS and I'm on BST right now, so only a 1 hour difference.
One further question that might help me answer this -- when VIRB displays the time, is it taking this from the .gpx file or from the video metadata? I suspect the former as it isn't possible to have a time overlay until the .gpx file has been imported. But if it is the latter then I wonder if the fact that a GoPro has been used is the issue. But that then raises the question as to how it gets the time *right* in the first place, so I suspect this isn't the issue.
I'm using version 3.2.0. Any help/suggestions welcome.
