Is HomePort a view only software (load charts each time) or can you install BlueChart G2 (HXUS039R) into HomePort? If so how do you install this chart?
I think most charts come on SD cards (as do many land maps) these days. Homeport, like it's brother/sister BaseCamp, can read charts/maps from such pre-programmed cards. In that sense they "load charts each time" (i.e. read the card). There's no "install" as such--if the card is seen the charts/maps will be read from it.
Deepening on your unit model you can either put it into mass-storage mode which will make the card visible to HomePort or you can remove it from the device and put it in a card reader.
All that said if your charts came on CD/DVD you should be able to install them to your PC. You can't do that with pre-programmed cards.
To expand on the above you can copy your charts from your device (or a from a chart card like the G2 Vision card) onto an SD card and HomePort will read the copies. Your device (plotter) will not read copies, only the originals.
