New guy here and I was directed this way via a thread over at the HullTruth forum. I commercial fish in Cook Inlet Alaska and Fish & Game breaks CI down into numerous fishing "districts". These districts usually have common borders differentiating one from another (ie, common state border between CA and OR for example). Using the Lat/Long points given by F&G, how do I enter these into HP in a way that I can join 4 or more points to create a fishing "district" (visible lines forming an enclosed shape) so that I can make sure that I'm fishing inside the district and don't get the low fly over by the F&G helicopter and 3K fine that comes with it! I have access to a PC here at home to load the waypoints and my CP is the 740s.
Simply create waypoints for each lat/long point/border corner you have from F&G. Then create a route between each of the four waypoints, and choose a color (like GREEN) that will be visible on yoru chart. Make sure you make that color (green in this case) visible on the plotter, under the Menu Waypoints and Routes. Then you will always see the borders displayed.
