When I import a GPX file the gps coordinates change a small amount, like a few miles. I checked the file and the numbers are right in the file, but after import and looking at them in Homeport they are slightly changed. How do I fix this?
I seem to recall, but could be wrong, that BaseCamp had an issue reading coordinates in certain formats. HomePort is based on BaseCamp so it's possible any bug (that was fixed in BC) still exists in HomePort.
...I was feeding it were in the DD MM.mmm format. Nobody seems to use that...
Actually I think many do. I use DDD.dddddd exclusively and having to convert from DDD MM.mmm or DDD MM SS.s drives me nuts but the other formats have historical precedents (i.e. before GPS existed) so I doubt they'll go away anytime soon.
