I have a custom maps in .kmz format on my Garmin GPSmap 78. Displayed on gps screen show correctly. However, when connected to HomePort the PC display is showing incorrect proportions of Lat/Lon grid. My maps are NOAA charts and they have compase rose. I would not notice this problem if not for the compase rose. Instead of displaying it as a perfect circle is is displayed as an ellipse. In Options the datum is set to WGS 84 so it should display the chart correctly. I did not find any other setup in HomePort that could affect the display. Also, when printed from HomePort it shows the same incorrect proportions. To make sure the kmz file is correct I opened it (and printed) in Google Earth and in Maptech Chart Navigator. Both, show correct proportions. That points to the HomePort problems or my mistakes in setting it up. Any idea what did I do wrong or how to fix it?
