Using Homeport with my GPSMap76Cx, I can create Routes and Waypoints, but I cannot manage or edit them, i.e. Rename, Delete, Erase, Move, Divide, etc, nor can I join two or more routes. I select the item(s) in question according to the user guide, but the appropriate menus or tools are inactive, i.e. greyed out. How do I make these menus work?
The 76CSx doesn't support those operations via it's USB interface. HomePort (and BaseCamp/MapSource) can read and write data from/to the 76CSx but it cannot do direct operations as you're trying to do.
The solution is to use HomePort to read data from your 76CSx, do what you wish within the program, and then write it back to the unit. That said you need to use different names for things as (from memory) duplicate stuff isn't overwritten.
