I have a GPSmap 640. My question concerns the user data. On the unit it lists the routes and tracks I have saved. I am trying to get these routes and tracks into the Garmin software program homeport. When I connect to the 640 with either homeport or Garmin's basecamp and look at the user data on the 640 unit, the software (either program homeport or basecamp does exactly the same) lists a bunch of old tracks and waypoints that I had previously deleted (this information is gone when I look at user data using the unit itself). However, the software does not list the new stuff, the stuff that I want to copy over. The software and the unit is displaying completely different saved tacks and routes. The software is displaying old stuff that I have deleted but not the new stuff and the unit is displaying what I want. How should I trouble shoot this? Thanks in advance
I resolved this by saving the logs, tracks and routes on an SD card and then using the SD card to put the information on the computer. Then reset the 640 and erased all user data.
