Afraid to update HomePort

The notes for the new HomePort update state that there is a new file format for backup data that is not compatible with the old backups. I assume they mean backups of the "userdata" file (in my case, from my GPSMap 5212).

Since I have been using the older version of HomePort for over a year and have a number of backups already on my computer in the old format, I would like to know how to get my old backups to work with the new version of HomePort when I update. (I am running Windows XP.)

Note: I have saved all my "userdata" files from my 5212 to my old version of HomePort. If I update to the new HomePort version, will these files be saved and converted to the new backup format??

I don't want to lose all my data!!!

The release note applies if you use File->Backup on HomePort 2.0.4 and then try to restore a 2.0.4 backup using File->Restore on HomePort 2.1.0.

Any data that you see in Mac HomePort 2.0.4 before you upgrade will still be on your computer after you upgrade.
