Homeport with Montana 650t (G2 Bluechart)

I have Basecamp and Homeport installed on my computer. I have created and transferred Basechart waypoint and route files from my computer to the Montana and have not had any problems. I also have Homeport and when attached to the Montana (with the G2 Bluechart mini SD installed) the nautical charts in Homeport open and I can create waypoints and routes that can be managed with no problem. When I drag or copy the folder I create on Homeport with the waypoints and routes in it into the Montana or SD card section of Homeport, the data is view-able on Homeport when highlighted where the new folders have been created. The issue I have is that the Montana hand held does not display the waypoint or route data at all. I can see the file in MyComputer/(K)/Garmin/userdata as a .adm file on the SD card when the montana is attached to my computer or I insert the SD card into the reader on my computer but the Montana does not seem to recognize this type of file. Is this a defect or is the Montana made not to recognize this file type. This is problematic because I purchased this very expensive GPS, G2 navigation software and Homeport software to use for navigating on my boat and planning routes on the device is cumbersome.
Thank you

I contacted someone from the Montana to find out if this is supposed to work, and figure out what is wrong in case it is.

Unfortunately, currently data sent to the SD card of the Montana by HomePort will not be recognized by the device.

What should work is sending data to the device directly (not the SD card).

When sending data to the SD card, HomePort uses the ADM format which is a marine specific format that the Montana does not currently understand. device .

There are a few work-arounds if you do want the data on the SD card. You could first send them to the device, and then copy the gpx files into the appropriate folder on the SD card.
