I suspect it's a computer problem. One or more files are corrupted or the registry links are broken. I have problems like that occasionally with other software and once with HomePort.
I have a program that's furnished by my ISP called "Norton Utilities" that I run when I have this sort of problem and it corrects the problem.
You can buy it at any computer store if you don't get it through your ISP. There are other programs that do the same thing.
The other thing you could try is reinstalling HomePort.
