Homeport 3.0??

Machria goes back in the water next Friday. I assume Garmin is aware of that??? :D

While I am at it, FEATURE REQUEST: Allow us to copy some if not ALL of our charts to the HD to be run with Homeport. Swapping out chips with my 5215 built in charts and G2 Vision charts is driving me nuts as well as ruining chips. Just killed my 3rd SD chip. The pins get worn and break off.

You might have noticed a lot of activity going on with BaseCamp, which probably means that they are busy with that product at the moment. Since HomePort and BaseCamp seem to share the same code base, I would think that they are probably fixing and polishing BaseCamp before they apply those new features and functionality to HomePort.

You can do it yourself, use ImDisk.

Yea right!! With that, AND an engineering degree, and a 500 page command line manual "MAYBE". :eek:

I have more USB slots than SD slots in my PC. I bought a couple SD to USB converters on ebay for about $2.00 each. They work fine. I just leave them in the PC.

Do we see 3.0 (or whatever version the next release will be) anytime soon??

It is Garmin's policy not to publish any scheduling information.

There will be another release, but I cannot tell you when.

That is a pretty safe assumption, unfortunately.
