How to use 2 maps at the same time?

I need to plan routes which require HomePort to be able to use more than one chart file at the time, e.g. when planning a route crossing the Baltic Sea.

How can I get the software to do this? I have 2 BlueChart G2 SD cards but only one SD reader. Can I put both chart files on the same card?

    Hi,
I think you can put more than one BlueChart G2 maps on one SD card and HomePort will recognize them all. You have just to rename them (i.e. gnmapsup1.img, gmapsup2.img etc. or every *.img name you like).

The problem will be then, to create a route crossing more than one map, because you can activate only one map at once in HomePort!
To solve this problem you need a map, which covers the the total region of the desired route (like BlueChart Atlantic v10).

  • I'm thinking that the chart plotter will only accept one map card at a time so the solution would be to divide the route into two segments, one for each map region. For that, only one map at a time would be needed in HomePort.
