I am new to HomePort, but a longtime BlueChart user. I have transferred some routes created in BlueChart to my new 545s using a SD card. Now, I have created a short little (<5nm) route in HomePort and saved it to my SD card. When I insert the SD card in my 545s and attempt to transfer the route, I get red letters that say something like route truncated and only one or two of the HomePort route points. Could someone tell me what I might be doing wrong. Thanks.
The 545s specification lists that it can take a maximum of 1500 Waypoints and 20 Routes. Do you know if your device is close to this limit such that when you try to import from the SD card, it goes over the limit?
The 545s is brand new, never away from the dock. Nothing on it. I have found that I can load small routes from HP>SD card>545 if I do it one route on the card at a time. I have one 81-mile route in BlueChart that I can easily load on a SD card and read on HP on the PC, but the 545 will only accept 50 miles of the route before truncating. Any other ideas?
