Modify a Route?

How do I add additional waypoints to a route? I know how to move a waypoint, but if I can't figure out how to add a new one. Also, is there a manual anywhere?

Highlight the route by clicking it. You then have tools to erase (route leg), move (route leg) and insert (route leg).

If you press F1 (Help), there are instructions for Working with Routes / Editing a Route, that provide more information.
