Old school here but I've been using a 76CSx with the original BlueCharts maps (purchased originally on CD) on a Windows PC with MapSource. The PC crashed and is no more and I am now using a Mac. I have installed BaseCamp and the communicator plugin (it sees the GPS connected via USB) and I have converted my charts using the Converter, but it was then that I realized that I could not get the charts into BaseCamp so I think I need to purchase HomePort. Before I do that however, I'd like to confirm that I will be able to load my original BlueCharts into HomePort and also communicate with the GPS unit.
Has anyone had success with this particular configuration?

- Blue Charts (v9.50 - not g2) converted to gmap file)
- GPSMap 76CSx connected with USB (installed communicator plugin)
