Australian Download is Still Overpriced

HomePort costs AUD 35 while other countries can purchase for $30 USD or less. The difference is not as bad as previously, but its still completely unjustifed. My Aussie dollars are worth more than US dollars at present. Why can't I just buy in US Dollars and let my credit card make the conversion ?

Its not a huge amount but is indicative of how the company views its customers. I don't think my next GPS will be a Garmin.

The reason is because Garmin AUS has to collect GST from sales made in AUS. I don't see how $5 is justified either, but basically that's where it's mostly going. Plus Australian retailers still don't get that we can buy elsewhere and still wonder why they lose sales!
