Does that mean it is an error?

That means that the price in Australian Dollars will be reviewed considering the present exchange rate.

As someone in the US looking at the current exchange rate ($1 USD = $0.94 AUD), it certainly looks like Garmin needs to do more than "review" the price structure for Aussie customers. It certainly looks like $50 AUD is outright gouging. It absolutely does not cost an extra $21.81 to download a software package from a server not in Australia to a computer in Australia.

Well as soon as it is the equivalent price in AUD as USD I will complete my purchase.
  • I decided to see if the price issue had been sorted yet, no luck Aussies still being ripped off!

So I decided to see what other countries are paying

US customers are charged USD 29.99 for the Mac download
Australians are being charged AUD 49.00 the equivalent of USD 49.98
UK customers are being charged BP 26.99 = AUD 31.70, USD 42.44
European Customers are being charged E29.00 = AUD 36.71, USD39.49

    This is for a download!

Is this some kind of Racism? should I read into this that whoever sets the prices dislikes Australians more than the other countries.

If I mentioned that I used to live in the UK will I get it at the cheaper UK price, or if I mention that my father fought alongside the Americans on the road to Berlin can I have it at the US price?

    We like Australians.

You can purchase Garmin HomePort on the Mac App Store at a more up to date (better for you) exchange rate.
  • Thanks for that, that is a lot better I have now purchased Homeport lets hope it lives up to its promise!

Garmin's Australian office has reset the price to 35 AUD.
