When is the Vivosmart 5 expected to come out?

I have been tempted to go from my Apple Watch to the Vivosmart 4 due to it's slender form factor. However, I know that the VS4 does less than AW and is also over a year old now. Any idea as to when the Vivosmart 5 might be coming out?

If it is a Vivosmart 5 it must have built-in GPS to be useful for me. The Fitbit Charge 5 has built-in GPS.

Respiration rate and recording ambient sound levels would be useful for stress management data. I hope it keeps a slimmer form than the Fitbit Charge 5 as I don't like wearing a band to bed.

Unfortunately as per user manual it seems like it lacks on device GPS. You need to pair it to a phone to get connected GPS.

Charge 5 has a problem. It must be worn loose to use the onboard GPS. But it must be worn tight to get proper heart rate. i use my iPhone GPS with Charge 5.

I have both VS4 and Fitbit Charge 5. Each has major flaws so I've been wearing both. VS4 regularly under reports heart rate during the first 12 min (approx) of a brisk walk. It understates pulse ox overnight. My Charge 5 understates the number of steps during a brisk walk by 10 to 15 percent.

Would you know if we can connect polar H10 chest strap to VS4 and Charge 5? E.g I connect it to my Fenix and it works great.

Is it really coming? I've seen FCC file with pretty ugly old style pics of a device. Honestly I lost any hope.

Its so strange what is going on. Tthe pictures have been released along with the manual, but there hasn't been a peep out of Garmin or most major sites. It makes me feel like the releaset must be imminent & the review sites have an embargo on talking about it. Usually the device is released before the FCC privacy expires.

Supply chain issues probably. On the other hand, it happened before that the new device was announced with delivery time in future. Hope it’s around the corner. As my 4 dead some time ago I use Fitbit now, but it’s again time for a change.
