I never got to the bottom of it. I honestly just didn't know where to take it next. Unlike the pain you experienced because it was in your wrist, I thought people would have a hard time believing me that…
Me too. I have linked my Garmin Fenix 5S to causing considerable shoulder pain on my left side.
Same, I thinks it's the light. They also say that there is no UV, but my arm still tans where the there little green lights are.
This might sound like an odd question but do you have an IUD? A few years ago I had an IUD, also I was experiencing what I perceived and what 3 doctors diagnosed to be carpal tunnel syndrome, I was also experiencing lower abdominal pain, which I thought at the time were unrelated. Due to the abdominal pain, I had the IUD taken out, around 2 weeks both subsided and 4 weeks there was no pain whatsoever and neither returned, that was 2 years ago. I wore a fit bit at the time, I asked a friend of mine who practices alternative medicine, specialising in magnetic field therapy. I come from a family of doctors, who would say pfff on the whole idea, but after listening to her, hearing the amount of patients and their symptoms, some which were identical to mine, it made me take a look into all of it. What has brought me to this thread now, is that 2 days after wearing my husbands vivomove HR I am experiencing again what feels, what I can only describe as an arthritic feeling in the wrist I was wearing it on. I think that some of us are much more prone to picking up on these fields of energy. If you are a sensitive person, in some of us I think we have hyper aware systems, we just don't know this because how can you relate when it's impossible to know what other bodies awareness feels like. I took the watch off, and within an hour the pain was gone, it's very intriguing! Hope you feel better now, whatever it was that was causing you pain. x
What is a IUD? I ended up returning the watch for a refund. Garmin never got back to me. The pain has gone and hasn’t come back. I might buy another one at some point to try it again, as I do love the watch. Especially for tracking bike rides and sailing.
I wondered about a magnetic field thing going on but how could you prove that is want it is. I think my nerves are quite sensitive as I had chronic back pain which affected my legs for about 5-6 years. This can cause your nervous system to be more sensitive.
Thanks for the message
Jamie.

It's a shame that you couldn't connect with Garmin, as I'm sure they would have made it right.
I’ve had the same with a vivoactive 4s which I also love. I took it back and got a replacement but alas the same thing happened. Did you find another watch that you have been able to wear? It seems we maybe have a sensitivity to it and from what I’ve read on other forums, other brands present the same problem for a few of us. I really want one though! I’m so disappointed that I can’t wear it. After 3 hours I couldn’t tolerate it any more and had to remove it.
SarahLake: Did you ever find out what was causing your pain?
Just curious, do you have any metal implant?
My wrist is having some pain and I wonder if it is the vivosmart. However, I did not have any issue with wearing the viviosmart until I had a broken ankle with hardware implanted to secure the break.
I am wondering if the ankle hardware is having a cross reaction.
