Problems with wrist-HRM / sensors?

Hi all,

I decided to upgrade my old 310xt and bought the FR935, which is a massive upgrade and a nice one. I've owned it for 3 weeks now and been collecting data almost 24/7, but noticed some problems (?) with my device (running FW 6.00). I didn't notice at first, but the other day it was quite easy to tell that something was wrong, as my pulse and "movement" graph was constant almost all day, and suddenly starting to record again (photo from 22 sep).

Then I started to look closer to my recordings and saw how recording suddenly went off for 2-10 min, leaving holes in my graphs. Another run had a very low resolution on the HR and showing no movement at all.

Did anyone experience the same or having suggestions?

Hans

    Hej Hans,
you own it 3 weeks, so I suppose you have upgraded to 6.0 recently ... have you tried (I hate to suggest that ;)) a factory reset? Wiping off old rotten data helped my problem with OHR significantly ... Otherwise if that recordings gives you sleepless nights, I'd return the watch for warranty ...

I tried the HOLD power button 15 s (unsure if that is the same as a factory reset), but thats definitely an option if the problems persist. I went back to the store a few times, as I also have a very stiff down button, which needs quite some force. For the weird static recording they just replied "no idea" and gave an insecure smile, and the button worked if you pressed hard enough, and hence didn't see any reason to send it back.

There is a button sequence, but I can't remember what it is. You can go through the menu: Settings -> System -> Restore Defaults

I think I'll give a factory reset a shot, and see how my watch behave afterwards. I read somewhere on this forum that I can backup some of the info through this: https://support.garmin.com/faqSearch...PZ6PboXu5Nf7d6 even though it doesn't state 935. I've been injured since last Wednesday, so my high VO2max will decline anyway ;)
