Awesome battery Life

I've just finished Endure 24 using the 935. I did 40 miles in about 5.5 hours and the 935 coped easily. I did it in 6 single laps of 5 miles and one double lap so the watch was in and out of LPM, had to reacquire satellites etc which can't be conducive to good battery life. I left all the settings as-is, 1 sec recording, GPS only, BLE on (syncing with iPhone whenever I was back at the tent). I started with 93% or so and I'm still on 27%. Looks like the 935 has me covered for anything I need as I don't plan on going longer that this!

  • Agreed... Ran 15k today, took about 1:20 and battery was down 7%. I mean, that translates to 19 hrs or so. This was with 1sec recording, GPS only btw. Truely is pretty awesome.

I suddenly am very interested in testin battery with the various modes :P 1sec GPS, 1sec GPS+GLONASS, smart GPS, smart GPS+GLONASS... Gonna have to do a few more 1hr+ rusn I guess.

    Same thing here!
I'm in love with 935 battery life.
Compared to Fenix3 HR, it's simply awesome. Just 2% per night (with OHR, bluetooth & other stuff on), and less than 6% per hour with GPS and other sensors (including ConnectIQ Stryd field).
  • I agree, especially when in use as a watch. I'd imagine if you had two fully charged and switched one off they'd both need recharging at roughly the same time :D
  • I ran a 50 km yesterday in just under 5 hours and battery was at 71% after race. I charged it the night before and wore it to bed.
  • Just finished an 85km ultra, 14hrs of use and 33% battery left. Now I have confidence in the 935's battery. First time I've used it in an event of this duration. I did disconnect from the phone and switched to smart recording just to be certain. I have no CIQ 'stuff or extras added either. Plain old 'vanilla' out of the box 935.
  • Try telling this to a Apple Watch user :) I do at work and everyone just says 'wow'
  • Ran a 42 mile ultra on Sunday in a touch over 7 hours. Started with 60%, finished on 18%. That's with normal GPS, connected to phone, and navigating a breadcrumb map. Very impressed, and no problems at all.
  • ^^^^^Speedy^^^^^ Well done :D
  • I've not had the opportunity to really challenge the battery life until recently. Just done three days on the Heaphy Track over here. Upshot is three days constant on, 17 hours of GPS and still 21% battery left. This time only turned off connector to the phone. Still on Smart Recording. No doubts from me about battery life now.
  • Thanks Philip.
The battery claims were a big selling point for me went from the fenix 3 to the 935. It makes a change with electronics that the device is actually living up to expectation there! :)
