How to add trail running activity profile on my Garmin Forerunner 735XT?

Is there any way I can add the profile via import or I have to manually add it and set all the screens with data do display?

In point 2 select "Trail Run". Then you'll have to set up your data screens manually…

First you have to choose Running, and after setting color and name there are options (types of run) and there you pick Trail running.

I have a a Garmin 735XT, and I’m quite happy with it. One thing that has been bothering me since I bought it however, is that I can not find the activity profile for trail running. It’s not a big deal, but when I run trails does not take the extra effort needed for a trail run into account, and it wrecks my VO2 estimates (among other things).

According to the product page (https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/541225), trail running should be a separate activity profile on the 735XT, but after using some time googling this issue, I have yet to find a solution to this.

If it is the case that there is not a separate activity profile for trail running, I think Garmin should alter the info on their product page, as this was one of the reasons I chose the 735XT.

The FR735XT does have a trail run activity profile, although my tip on how to enable it was not entirely accurate, as I don't have the FR735XT anymore and I was writing from my memory. But look at mikke's response. I think this is the correct way to set it up.
