Reboot during activity (running and bike)

Certainly not normal for this to happen so regularly.

If you connect the 735 to a computer is there an ERR_LOG.TXT file in the top directory? If so can you post it here.

I would suggest doing a master reset. If that does not stop it then seek a replacement.

Master reset

Deletes all FIT files including Activities, Courses, Workouts etc. (takes the device back to defaults).

Hold the light button until the device prompts "Shut Down?".
Select "Yes"
Hold the two right buttons, <Start/Stop> and <Back>, while turning the device on by pressing and releasing the light button.
Wait for an audible beep and release the <Start/Stop> button.
Wait for a second audible beep and release the <Back> button.
The non-vol clear was successful if the device finishes powering up and goes Setup Wizard page.

Hello (again),

(I don't know what is the problem, but I cant see the previous thread... it seems disappeared . I repost here)

I got the 735xt for a week and updated the software to 4.40, but I have some MAJOR issues.
The watch has these behaviors:
- RUNNING: during the run (in not particular moments) it simply reboots - several times !! -. Black screen with "Garmin" logo and it reopen the activity where it crashed.

- BIKE: same issue but not several times during the activity.

I've read here that this problem was recurrent with the 3.30 update of the firmware.
But now it still has this problem with my case.

Any solution?

btw, I looked at these reboot-events, and I have the feeling that is related with the GPS signal. I got the feeling that when the signal is lost or "jumped" a bit it loses its mind.

I don't know if it means something. Software? Hardware? bah... I don't know.

same for me, since 4.40 - non-deterministic reboots - really annoying

Can I ask if you are using any of:

Strava segments
Connect IQ items

I had strava segments alerts, yes.
IQ items I use outside activities, no IQ screens during activity.

I've tried disabling the strava segments alerts right now:
still reboots whenever it wants.
