Anyone have experience getting an out of warranty replacement? Seems crazy this part could wear out after just 1.5 years. Thanks for any helpful info!

I had bought a black 645m soon after its launch ,March 2018, about 4 months ago noticed hairline cracks on plastic lungs near the pin steel holder- based in APAC- no replacement/out warranty. Searched…
Seems to be a common issue: forums.garmin.com/.../cracks-on-forerunner-645-music-body
Mine did this too. Contacted them and they replaced the watch.
My 645 music watch broke last night in exactly the same spot as shown in the photo. I was replacing the band which had gone bad. The first strap was fine but when placing the second band the piece snapped off. I was being so careful too. The plastic seems brittle. This is my third Garmin and I’ve never had issues with the previous models. I’m so disappointed.
I would contact Garmin, even if out of warranty, to see what they can do. If they can't help, then do what Former Member recommended earlier in this thread.
Go to Garmin Support Center and fill out the Garmin Online Exchange for the Forerunner 645 tool. I did that, my watch broke on a Friday, and I received a refurbished 645M by the following Friday.
I have followed the Garmin exchange tool and they will send out a replacement for £117. I did not complete the order as I am not prepared to spend a further amount of money to replace a defefective watch due to a design or material fault. Not helpful at all Garmin
Vanessa40, do you still have the link to Facebook Garmin profile? Mine 645M band arms just broke, two of them! Thanks!
