Forerunner 645 Battery Drain

I have my 645 (no music) for a good year now iirc and never had any problems with the battery. But since yesterday, I have massive battery draining issues. I charged it 2 days ago in the evening and notices yesterday morning, that it was low again. So I charged it before going on a run. Didn't think more of it but then in the afternoon it was low again. Charged it again before going to bed but it didn't even last the night.

I just recharged it now and it already lost 5% while I wrote this post.

Any idea what could cause this? I rebooted it multiple times already and it hasn't fixed it.

Have you installed any new widgets/clock faces recently?

Just as randomly as it started it stopped again after 3 days. Strange but I will take it.

I've not been as fortunate. I've noticed a change in battery drain as well, not as drastic, but its about 1.5%-2% drop every hour. This only came about 3-4 weeks back, and I've not installed any new widgets either, with the exception of the Garmin Coach (hmm).

3457634 would you by chance also use the Garmin Coach and enabled it recently when you noticed the drain?

I do use a garmin coach training plan but I'm in week 11 so no recent starting there.

Same problem here, after a 100% charge the first 5-8% are wasted in a short time.

Odd. I only came to realise on composing the earlier response, and I took the garmin coach widget off. Charge seems to be holding much better, but I'll monitor it a few more days with some activities thrown in and see if it's back to 'normal'.

Do you charge by usb connected to a computer? I find. I get this issue if I charge this way. Using a wall adapter I don't

Quick update on the battery drain that I experienced. Oddly, the battery usage seem to have returned to normal after I removed the Garmin Coach widget that was automatically inserted when I enabled it 5 weeks back. I've not changed any settings for the last few months besides this one that snuck in.

Have been monitoring it very closely the last 5-6 days since removal and it's gotten the job done, at least for my case (weird).

I trying usb connection and adapter. The problem is always in the first 10% of discharge
