did you get this problem fixed? .. 2020 - i have the same issue
Same here. Since yesterday after my run, my practically brand new FR35 quit tracking my steps and heart rate. Tried the fix dadiator used, and got nowhere.
I've also started getting this problem - after it working for 2+ years.
I have noticed if I run with my mobile connected to the watch it works and tracks steps when I run. As soon as I disconnect it…
My experience with Garmin support is that they are very supportive, and they will promise to help you, but then they never follow up with the cases. You have to be very persistent and pushy with them. I am not sure what your particular case is, and how long you had the watch for, but I expect that they will be open to an exchange more than a refund.... good luck.
This is the Garmin proposed solution and it worked for me. Hope this is helpful for you.
Thank you very much Garmin for the support!
