Firmware 4.6

I just updated. No explosions so far. ;-) Figured I might as well start off the new thread.

A .3 figure jump... hope it helps people out!

I'm having the same RHR issue with 4.6 that others have described. I hadn't updated for a while so totally missed the 4.3 update that seems to have introduced this problem originally. But reading a RHR of typically 45, despite the watch's widget showing a 'low' HR of 38-40 which is where my RHR normally was up till now. Still looks fine on the Garmin Connect app so I'm guessing it's just the watch widget that is the problem.
  • Ran a marathon today which caused the ingenious "average low throughout the day" RHR to calculate my resting heart rate as 75.

Ah, is that how it works? Someone really didn't think that one through particularly well!

Do you have the HRM off the rest of the day? Otherwise i'm not sure what the marathon would have to do with your RHR. It's not going to use your HR during an activity.

All is pretty much fine with 4.6/2.7, but still getting funky resting hr occasionally. Always post run. See attached.

Bethesda running? Playing a lot of Fallout, or just running around the wasteland? :)
  • Your 235 don't restart when you go to the wheather widget? (after synchronize with garmin connect in your iphone)

    This only happens to me?

I had to delete weather widget to stop doing. With 4.20 everything worked perfect.

Yeah that exact same thing happened to me for the first few hours and then just seemed to fix itself (after much pissing around on my behalf - I just gave up and deleted the widget, then re-added it later and it was fine.)

    Foot pod calibration

I'd setup manual footpod calibration as the automatic was way out for pace on a treadmill.

Whilst the factor is still the same I'm getting faster paces now with 4.6, anyone else seeing this?

New updates work well for me...pheewwww

Just got all my courage up to update my FR235 with 4.6/2.7 combo.

Everything seems to work properly up to now. Hopefully, nothing will comes up.

My RHR tracking seems to be more logical (no more RHR < lowest HR)

OHR monitor work normally while running

    So far so good :)

  • How is that working properly... according to your screenshot your RHR is 5bpm higher than the low for the last 4 hours, not the entire day.
That's insane. My HR right now reads 58-60 while I sit here typing this, yet it thinks my RHR is 61. The low in the last 4 hours was 52. There is no way the RHR is HIGHER than my HR while I work!
  • For me the VO2 max isn't working anymore. I thought that 4.60 should fix that?
